Privacy Policy - Games

Last updated: 18 September 2026

This policy covers the specific data collected while playing games on PlayShiksha. It sits alongside, and should be read together with, our general Privacy Policy - Website, which covers account creation and general site use.

What We Collect During Gameplay

  • Scores and progress — the score, level reached, and completion status you achieve in a game, used to power your dashboard, achievements, certificates, and the public leaderboard.
  • Play counts — how many times a game has been played (by signed-in users and guests alike), used only in aggregate to show popularity and is not linked to a guest's identity in any way, since guests have no account to link it to.
  • Classroom assignment results — if a teacher has assigned a specific game to their class, we record which of their students completed it and their result, visible to that teacher.

Guest Play

Every game on PlayShiksha can be played without creating an account. When playing as a guest, we do not collect any personal information at all — no name, no email, nothing tied to you individually. Guest play only contributes to anonymous, aggregate counts (e.g. "this game has been played 500 times"), never to any leaderboard entry, achievement, or personal record, since those features require an account by design.

Third-Party Game Content

Games on this platform are built and hosted by us as self-contained HTML5 experiences — they do not independently connect to third-party ad networks, analytics services, or data collectors of their own beyond what this policy already describes. If that ever changes for a specific game (for example, an embedded third-party game engine with its own data practices), we will update this policy and clearly note it for that specific game.

Leaderboards

If you choose to appear on a public leaderboard, your display name (or nickname, if you've set one) and score are visible to other users of the platform. You can choose not to appear on leaderboards by not setting a public nickname, or by contacting us to opt out entirely.
